The Walleye Capital of
the World – that’s what they call the Bay of Quinte. The County is
famous for ice fishing, 10 pound walleye are not uncommon, and many
local businesses provide everything a hardy ice-fisher-person could
need, from humble huts to ice palaces.
See details of what’s on offer at www.pec.on.ca/winter/icefish.html And after a frosty fishy day, you can warm up at our restaurants, cafes, pubs and country inns. |
Winter Activities Prince Edward County is definitely a quieter and more relaxing place during the cooler months, but this does have it's advantages. Enjoy outdoor activities such as skiing, skating, hiking, ice fishing or just taking a leisurely stroll. If you are more the indoors type, you might spend your afternoon visiting some local wineries, shopping at interesting shops in the area, or taking in entertainment at The Regent Theatre.
